I was reading the manga and looked at this page and decided it was too good, so I had to share it.
Really, can we just take a moment and appreciate this righteousness that Yuugi possess? I mean, the guy literally is thinking kind of selfish, knowing that if he does nothing about the memories and god cards his other self is gonna stay for ever. Like no ending, no goodbye, no nothing. Just both at each other’s side for the rest of their lives (or should I say, for the rest of Yuugi’s?) so this make me wonder, what would have happened if Yuugi’s have choose to do nothing. Would Atem still be a spirit once Yuugi is dead? And Marik would have succeed in accomplish the god cards? And if he did so, what about killing the other Yuugi? Or could it be that both of them stays for ever and have a friendship for an entire life? Is it possible that Yuugi grew tired of being the vessel for Atem? Or even better, could they have fallen in love? Yeah the last one is kind of improbable but I’m puzzleshipper to the bone!
A small part of me (ok, no, a BIG ONE) would love to read these scenarios in a fanfic, even more if this turned to be puzzleshipping.
Ok but now I’m off the point, the thing is that even when Yuugi had the choice, he took the “right path” and fought for Atem’s memories. How could he care so much for his other self to the point of doing the right thing even if at the end he would lose that person. Of course he doesn’t know exactly that last part, but through the manga and anime he realizes that if he continues in that direction he will lose his other self. I mean there’s so much strength for someone who calls himself weak, don’t you think? I’m not expressing myself very clearly and that’s certainly and completely frustrating, but I hope you guys can see my point and comment it.
